____________________________________________________________
It's taken me 1.5 hrs just to put this thread together, don't ask how long for the plugin.

As you will see below this plugin is a bit of a monster and even with my immense force powers i can't find everything on my own.

Detailed Description

[ external image ]

The Deathmatch Arena is a specialist sector where players are able to test their combat and racing skills

Found to the East of Mists of Elysium players who target the station and are within 7k of the DMA HQ will be offered Deathmatches and races if their rank and license requirement are high enough

Periodically Deathmatches will also be offered in random sectors outside the Arena which players can also choose to participate in.

[ external image ]

As you kill ships in the DMA you will be notified of your DMA rank

[ external image ]

DMA Difficulty Options

Deathmatches have 4 options
[ external image ]

The Xtreme option is only available when the player has his very first deathmatch and then after sufficient DMA fight rank is gained

DMA Fight rank

The DMA fight rank is not linked to your normal combat rank, rank is gained by either killing ships in the Arena or winning races.

[ external image ]

Once a DM is chosen a DMA beacon will be created in the fight sector. It will countdown and if your ship is not in the sector the DM will be terminated. Killing the timer will also start the DM.

DMA Promotions

[ external image ]

As well is the DM there are also now Spacesuit Racing Championships and also DMA Racing League options

Spacesuit Championships

[ external image ]

The New Spacesuit Championships have 3 levels depending on if you have a high enough DMA ranking

The race is simple, be the first to land on the DMA Spacesuit HQ, the higher the difficulty the more rank or prize you can gain.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Prize Options

[ external image ]

DMA Racing Championships

[ external image ]

Various sectors can be chosen for the DMA RC's including the DM Arena. There are three levels of race once sufficient rank is gained and also DMA licenses must be purchased to open higher difficulty levels.

DMA licenses can only be bought after completing the DMA and having enough credits and rank.

[ external image ]

The higher the difficulty level the more risk is involved in the race. All racers will be barred from using SETA/Docking Computers & Salvage Insurance. The DMA referee will hold on to these upgrades until the race is complete.

The DMA Shop

[ external image ]

At lower payout levels and rank the DMA shop will offer the prizes shown above, If your rank or payout is not high enough some of these options will not show.

Random Ship
For low ranked pilots or lower payouts the Random ship will give a ship to the player as a prize. There is a small percentage chance a specialist ship will be given.

Clone Station

This command will allow some tyes of stations to becloned in your defined sector.

Destroy Ships
Choose this option to rid yourself of a troublesome ship

Destroy Station
As above but stations

Buy Sector

You will need both an obscene rank and payout to buy your chosen sector

Overtune Engine
This command will add a small amount of Engine Tunings to your ship

Overtune Rudder
As above but Rudder

Give Missiles
Thiss command will give you missiles and the amount depends on your payout

Give Lasers

As above but lasers

Hack Hostile Station
Hacks hostile Stations for you

Upgrade Sat Deployment
New in the final beta, once this one is chosen you can deploy sats in any sector, the further the sector the longer the wait until it is built

Self Repairing Hull Technology
New in the final beta, I ported this from TR and decided to put it as a separate reward, see this TR thread for info on what it does Self Repairing Hull Technology

Any ship with SRHT installed can use kits to repair damaged hull, you need to earn at least 300 DMA rank and 200k to get the device, kits are available in the same way as laser kits

DMA Extreme Menu

Only available to pilots with a high DMA rank and huge payout the following prizes can be gained

[ external image ]

Research Subspace Cloak

Once this is chosen the DMA HQ will open up production of the Subspace Generator. Players must then complete another Xtreme DMA to install a generator to the hub which can be bought, once bought the DMA Ship Interface will allow you to build Subspace Cloaking Laboratories
[ external image ]

Once a generator is available for purchase at the DM HQ it can be transported to your SSC Lab and converted into Subspace cloaks for your ships

Research Emergency Jump Technology

EJT will first install a EJ generator to the HQ as above and then after that generators will be added that when bought and EJT Laboratories are built will allow your ships to hold Emergency Jump Devices which allow any ship to jump instantly to a sector.

This command is best used for dire combat situations and exploring.

These player owned stations not only build the following technologies for your ships but also allow you to store large quantities of any general product.

Once a generator is available for purchase at the DM HQ it can be transported to your EJT Lab and converted into Emergency Jump Devices for your ships

[ external image ]

To add or remove products just dock your ship at the lab

Research Wormhole Singularity Technology

As above but the WST needs much more rank and cash to achieve.
Once installed to a WST Lab will allow any ship to instantly jump to the specified position if it has a Wormhole Jump Device onboard.

All the above technologies use 1 device per use and are available as hotkeys and through your DMA interface for other ships.

Laser Energy Packs

LEP's are installed to your ship if chosen at the end of a DM. Remember to have enough space as these packs are cheap and available from the start of the DM without rank requirement. They will instantly recharge your laserbanks at a cost of 1 kit.

Command found in your ships DMA Interface

Specialist Ship

This option will give you a large military vessel in most cases

Player Headquarters
As it says on the tin and there is a free TL thrown in

Research Shield Transfer Technology
This new command once researched and installed to the STT Lab will allow equipped ships to either take shield powers from another ship or transfer it's own shield power to another ship. Also available as a hotkey.

[ external image ]

Enable DMA Hotkeys

Nothing is free in DMA and it must all be earned. No hotkeys will be available until this option is chosen

Sector Taxing Software
If you do own any sectors launching a drone in that sector will tax all ships and stations inhabiting it. The more combat ships present will increase the sector defense level and the tax rate.

Station Purchase Software

Allows some general stations to be bought that are owned by other races

Marine Enhancements
Just keep your eye on the transporter that is launched when choosing this option and once it arrives at it's destination a few marines will grace your ranks.

Research Blueprints

If you have your own HQ you research blueprints for specialist ships. Depending on the price of the ship the time to research will increase.
[ external image ]
[ external image ]

DMA HQ Research Products

[ external image ]

Laser Energy Packs
As long as you have enough storage space in your cargo hold you can choose to convert your DMA credits into LEP's which instantly replenish your laser energy to 100%

Self Repairing Hull Technology

Converted from TR: SHRT once installed will allow any ship with a hull repair kit (get them via the DMA prize menu) to rebuild their hull to 100%

Carriers will also fix landed ships. There is a chance the kits will malfunction and break and also a smaller chance a malfunction will cause further damage.

Upgrade Satellite Deployment

Once this option has been purchased you can deploy a sat (the ship needs to have adv sat's in cargo hold!) to any sector, the further the sector from the ship the longer it will take to deploy.

Same sector deployment is immediate

i just knoticed that your spacesuit seems to have 8 lasers on it.. is this an upgrade? or what

i also think you should beable to set the spacesuit speed to max via upgrades, as it currently stand, you can, but it reverts the minute you hop into a ship...

Just like all the scripts you made for X2 & 3 (Banshee and Imperial software were pure WIN)

Can't wait to try this one.

ok ladies

DMA is now ready for Beta Testing.

There will be some issues but no showstoppers unless there is an adverse reaction to another script you have installed but i doubt it.

I just did a Deathmatch on medium difficulty to test it out. It worked good and I went through M5 wave, M4 wave, M3 wave, opted m3 +m6 wave, and opted to go once more and it sent me vs the small orbital weapons platform. I stopped at that point with 1.1 million points (veteran rank I think). I chose random ship as reward and it gave me...

A Boron Ray M2 destroyer fully decked out with 5-star marines and shields and Gauss Cannon weapons...

Thats quite a ship for 1.1 million equivalent ;) So I think I found an issue there.

Also I was checking out the menus for the reward, and I went to the extreme menu, and DMA hotkey choice was available, but I went back to the main menu. After going back into the extreme menu it was not available, instead telling me my points were too low and I had to take the 1.1 million in credits. IDK if it would have let me choose something I should not have been able to choose but the option appeared the first time.

I had just completed the main quest so was docked at earth, installed this while docked there.

So had the arena guy fly up to the base and was killed i guess by earths defence. No biggy i guess except i was spamed over and over with im being hailed and while looking in the local map (while outside of station) i didnt see anyone. Might wanna toss a check for that sector.

I uninstalled, loaded, went someplace else, saved, installed, and it started up ok. Started up a match at Unholy Retribution ) 1 north of argon M148. Match went fine i guess. Was a ton of khack ships there so was pretty brutal. I know they destroyed the beacon before the match had started, i killed a few and got a few minor points of arena rep with them. After match started it apeared i didnt get any rep killing them while the match was in progress or afterwards.

EDIT: Duh, read and see you did keep XTest20 in and it wasnt a mistake. Nm

Ran another deathmatch on medium. I can replicate the DMA hotkey problem each time it seems:

Menu after I win

Checking the Xtreme menu first time

Back to main, and back into Xtreme

This time it rewarded me with a Hades M8 bomber with no missiles. Much better then the M2 ray, but its a $5.5 million bomber vs the $1.4 million I earned.

I had the same problem with not seeing anything on the DMA menu myself. I did install the SPK.

Exited game, took the un packed version and tossed in there, loaded up, and had menu options on the rewards section.

Not sure what one you installed Chroniss, but if you did the spk, try the unrared file.

Bug? I get a beep all the time now if i deny a match. If i say yes then the beep stops.

So far everything else is going good. Lord Vador uses cloaking device...... Forgot all about that, lol

I never tried accepting that DMA hotkey reward anyways, and all subsequent deathmatch rewards correctly tell me I don't have enough credits the first time. Is it supposed to show options if you don't have enough credit reward?

Found a problem, the info on give lasers doesn't do anything, and the reward menu never comes back so I lost the million credit reward. Ran through it again, the other infos worked, tried Give Laser info again, this time it gave me a ship...not working but different results. Also I had 26,000 credits that time and it gave me a Vulture Super Freighter which is worth more then a million.

ok, ran into some odd stuff

my ship is a M3 Nova, i have 3 M6's and 1 M7 with 4 M3's flying support

1) the use of "Named" ships is anoying, all these ships seem to be loaded to the brim, and OP'd compared to the other ships i fight. (is this intentional?)

2) on my third attempt, the "Referee" ship was red, and acted like an enemy

3) on my third attempt, after i took the bailout, i got the messege (As i have the mod to tell me when a ship is destroyed) Your ship Nova raider was destroyed by "Null"

my instaled mods :
Automated SHopper
Universal best buy
Cheat collection Pack
Comunity Plugin Config
Add jumpdrive and triplex scanners
Compare ships
Free jump (Credits) [Guess its not free... eh?]
Crystal Free Spp (temp)
Lazcorp Claim abandoned ships
Freight Transpory Upgrade
Sector Scanner
Pandora
NPC bail addon
Salvage commands and NPC
Ship Killed Notification [As mentioned above]

and ofcoures
EMP
DMA

Any advice?

EDIT: yea, it turns red, destroys a susanava raider, then turns blue to me

After running through a few challenges (one medium, one hard, and completing every possible wave on each), here's my feedback.

I was fighting in my Boreas (fully loaded, and MARS equipped) for both matches, so both were very easy for me. If I was in an M3 or M6, the hard match would have been a nightmare, however. Hopefully the extreme matches will be a handful for an M2.

I don't know how many of these are intentional, and how many are mistakes:

1. DMA station is a xenon hub... Top looks funky - no surface/textures.
2. Vacated ships disappear after match, giving no time to collect them. Attempting to capture before the match is over angers the referee (I assume this is because you have more than one ship in the sector, and thus, are "cheating" in his eyes?)
3. Pilots eject fairly often - not a big deal if you can't capture them, though.
4. Pilot names are cool, but it would be nice to know what ship types I'm up against.
5. make ships spawn closer. 10-15km away, might be good.
6. You changed names of some already named sectors - Vestibule of Creation (now Neptune's Retreat), Saturn 2 & 3, Jupiter 2 & 3, and Uranus 2 & 3.
6. Can't save during a match (though I personally agree with that...)
7. Player loses ownership of Satellites (or maybe all player owned property?) in deathmatch sector either on DMA installation or on first entering the DMA sector.
8. I'm getting the beeping noise after declining a match as well.
9. We don't really need the instructors cruising around, bothering us, do we? Why not just have a match start by talking to the DMA station? Or just have the instructors cruise around in the DMA sector, and we can go talk to him whenever we want.
10. LOTS of hammerhead missiles dropped as loot (I collected over 100 during the hard match).
11. Actually, there were tons of loot drops in general - I assume this is a side effect of fighting against fully equipped enemies. I'm not arguing. :) It's also nice to get some of the more unusual drops - I got a kyon emitter, for example. Not that I have anything that can mount it...

At the end of the hard match I reached Extreme ranking, so that happened fairly quickly, in my opinion. And the total payout for the hard match was about 64 million, though I chose to unlock the hotkeys (which I haven't tried at all yet).

Other than a few weird things, and maybe a little tweaking of the numbers, I think this is an excellent addition to X3TC. I was beginning to wonder what I would do now that I've completed all the big quests...
